Donation Acceptance Policy
We deeply appreciate the generosity of individuals who have offered philatelic collections to our club. These donations help preserve the legacy of stamp collecting and support our educational mission. However, due to limited storage space and resources, we must be selective in what we can accept. Please review the following guidelines before offering a donation:
What We Can Accept
Selective First Day Covers (FDCs): We accept FDCs on a limited basis, prioritizing historically significant or locally relevant items.
Partial Donations: We may choose to accept only portions of a collection based on space, relevance, and club needs.
Uncompensated Contributions: As a small nonprofit organization, we are unable to offer financial compensation for donations.
No Tax Forms Provided: Since we are not a registered nonprofit/charity, by law we cannot issue tax documentation for donations.
How to Proceed
If you are considering a donation, please contact us first ( Rich 630 946-3179 ) with a brief description of the collection. We will review the materials and let you know what we can responsibly accept.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to preserve philatelic history responsibly and sustainably—within the practical limits of our space and mission.
